STYLE

Style is at the heart of good longboarding, and it all stems from a less is more approach.

WHY IS STYLE IMPORTANT?

Style is at the heart of all good longboarding and it's what makes good longboarders so nice to watch.

But unlike many other sports it's not the addition of fancy movements, or any bells and whistles, instead its the reduction and removal of all unnecessary movements that make for that timeless style that's so alluring.

HOW TO ADD STYLE INTO YOUR SURFING

With a bit of luck you're now out of that super beginner stage whereby you're just holding on for dear life, and it's at this point that you can now look to improve and refine things, and the first point of call is style.

STAND TALL

We touched on it earlier but the standing tall part of things makes a big difference to your style, probably more so than anything else.

So quit bending those knees and stand up tall, loud and proud.

FEET CLOSE TOGETHER

Bring those feet nice and close together, roughly shoulder width apart 👌

MINIMISE UPPER BODY MOVEMENT

It's time to kiss goodbye to any erratic arm and torso movement.  It's now time to strip all of that away, and take things back to the absolute basics.

WRAPPING IT UP

As you can see style is all about stripping away and removing the unnecessary and get back to the classic basics.

Get this dialled and you're well on your way.
