CONFIDENTLY SURF EVERYDAY BIGGER WAVES - WITHOUT FREAKING OUT!

$9P/M [BILLED ANNUALLY] FOR ENTIRE COURSE LIBRARY

PANICKING, GETTING HELD UNDERWATER CAN BE TERRIFYING - EVEN IN EVERYDAY WAVES. BUT THAT FEAR RESPONSE IS NOT SOMETHING OUTSIDE OF YOUR CONTROL, SOMETHING THAT CAN'T BE OVERCOME WITH A LITTLE GUIDANCE...

Introducing FEARLESS

A system helping everyday surfers surf everyday waves free from anxiety and fear.

  • Even if... you’re a complete newbie to the sport
  • Even if... you’ve experienced a traumatic event in the past.
  • Even if... you’ve been surfing a while and want to push yourself to surf bigger waves

And yes, especially if you get freaked out at the prospect of being held underwater, panic at taking-off on a steep wave, or are terrified at the thought of losing your board, snapping your leash or being caught in a rip.

NEW, AND ONLY IN THE FEAR RESPONSE FORMULA:

PROVEN TECHNIQUES - A playbook of techniques you can learn to stay calm, relaxed and in control in even the sketchiest situations.

FRONT-LOADING - Skills, drills and methods for conserving energy, preparing for the worst, and being ready for everything the ocean throws your way.

A PATHWAY OUT - Once mastered your fears in the ocean will dissolve, and you’ll be free to do the type of surfing you want, in the type of waves you’ve always dreamed of.

RAPID PROGRESSION - The biggest thing holding most people back from improving isn’t talent, it’s fear. Overcome that, and you’re free to attack waves without hesitation, and leap ahead in your progression.

YOU'RE DOING IT ALL WRONG...

How are things working out for you so far?

Let me guess, you freak out at the thought of getting held underwater - so you avoid any challenging surf.

You're scared of getting caught in a rip - so you avoid surfing alone, and never venture away from your local break.

You're worried at the prospect of your leash breaking in the surf - so you avoid pushing yourself and tackling bigger waves.

You pull back on steep waves because you're scared to get wiped out - so you avoid all waves that look too steep, never really giving it a go.

Are you beginning to see the pattern now?

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid.

A PERPETUATING CYCLE

Can you see how by simply avoiding this stuff, and literally putting in zero work, and zero energy into the cause, creates a self perpetuating cycle.

I'm scared so avoid.  Avoid, and stay scared.

Now there's got to be a break in there somewhere. There's got to be a marker whereby you commit to making a change, otherwise it'd be ridiculous to expect any other results.

And just think about the opportunities that you're missing out on.

The places you could go, the waves you could surf, and the type of surfing you could do?

Endless adventure, and rapid progression.

But it won't happen unless you take action. It won't happen if you just dig your head in the sand as always, wishing for things to change.

YOU HAVE TWO OPTIONS:

OPTION 1. THE LONG GAME [Exposure, Exposure, Exposure]

It’s no coincidence that Hawaiians tend to be very comfortable in bigger waves, as they’re exposed to them everyday.

Plus, they spend countless hours in the water (often from a very young age) acclimatising to the ocean, its power, the way it moves, rips, rocks and everything in between.

This stuff takes years and countless hours in the water.

Also, exposing oneself to this environment at a young age is a much easier process than when you’re older - with more conditioning, more to lose if you get injured, more bad experiences to call upon.

So yes, for sure one way to break though this fear response is to put in the years, and put in the hours day in day out.

That’s the path most youngsters take for sure, but it’s much more challenging as an adult, with work commitments, family commitments and god knows what else that consumes all our free time.

OPTION 2: THE FAST TRACK [Take Massive Action]

As an adult you likely don’t have the free time to surf everyday, and likely wouldn’t mind getting this stuff handled sooner rather than later, so that you can improve quicker and surf the type of waves you really want.

Getting help, and committing to the short term pain of getting this stuff handled will free you to a life of surfing everyday waves anxiety free.

Free you to attack waves that come your way, give you the confidence to surf alone, and ensure you’re prepared and have an action plan should you ever lose your board or find yourself stuck in a rip.

Invest in getting this stuff handled today, and reap the rewards of a lifelong love affair with surfing, where you can rock up to a new beach, a new country, and feel totally at ease.

You'll have the inner confidence to get after it, and the carefree attitude that currently stands between you and doing the type of surfing you want.

If option two sounds like the right path for you, then you’re in the right place.

OH THE PLACES YOU COULD GO

Oh man, just imagine the place you could go.

The surf trips you could go on, the type of places you could travel, the type of waves you could surf, and the experiences you could have.

Just think about it, if fear wasn't an issue it'd open up the door to surfing new destinations all over the world.

From Costa Rica, to Bali, the Maldives to Sri Lanka.

Get this stuff handled, and let that be the catalyst for new exciting experiences coming into your life.

HOW MUCH FASTER DO YOU THINK YOU COULD IMPROVE?

If fear wasn't a factor and you could attack the type of waves you've always wanted how much quicker do you think you'd improve?

Think about all those days when the conditions aren't quite right that you miss.

Think about all those waves that you pull back on because they're too steep.

Think about how different you could surf if you were un-stifled, surfing with a care free attitude.

It's impossible to do your best surfing when you're tense.

Free and un-stifled you'll be able to do your best surfing, and improve quicker.

THE FIRST SCARY HOLD-DOWN I EVER HAD...

...was when I was fourteen.

Nothing was out of the ordinary, I was out surfing with a bunch of friends just like I'd done many times before.

I see a set coming and scratch and paddle to get out far enough to stop it breaking on my head.

It's going to be close, but I think I'm going to be able to make it through.

I get there just in time to duck-dive before it breaks on me.

PHEW! I'M IN THE CLEAR...

For a split second at least, then I proceed to sucked over the falls.

I was ok in the beginning, relatively calm and relaxed as the wave sucked me over, I was even still relaxed whilst I was getting worked by the wave.

You see, I'd been in this position before on a few occasions and I had popped up almost instantly on the other side.

Then, just as I was about to surface just like every other time - I got sucked right back under, right back down again.

This is when I freaked out.

I frantically kicked and paddled as hard as I could, desperately trying to get to the surface.

MY LUNGS WERE DESPERATE FOR AIR AND I THOUGHT I WAS DROWNING

After what felt like an eternity, finally the waves energy released me and let me back to the surface.

Gasping for breath, I caught the next wave in.

The waves that day were about 2ft and weak as hell, and looking back I reckon I was underwater no longer than five seconds.

Yet the situation went from calm and safe, to hazardous in an instant.

Not because the waves were dangerous (far from it), but because I was a danger to myself.

The way I reacted to the situation made an otherwise harmless environment get serious.

YOU ARE YOUR OWN WORST ENEMY

The panic mode I experienced above is caused by the onset of the fight and flight response.

An evolved response to either flee or fight in the face of danger.

And this response uses enormous amounts of the bodies energy resources in the process - especially Oxygen.

This response is a catalyst for trouble, and it’s your worst enemy in the ocean.

Sure, this response has served us well on land, helping us to avoid danger throughout our evolution...

...BUT IN THE WATER, THIS RESPONSE CAN BE DEADLY

In fact it’s this in water fear response that’s the second biggest cause of death in the USA in children under 14.

And what’s even crazier is that most of these drownings happen in calm water - in swimming pools and lakes.

So they don’t even have waves to contend with, yet their response is so overwhelming that they are a danger to themselves.

And much in the way that a swimming pool is a playground for many, and can become deadly to the ill prepared - so too can the ocean.

The waves, rips, rocks, crowds, ect. aren’t necessarily what makes the situation dangerous - the way you respond to that situation is.

SO, WHAT HAPPENS TO THE BODY?

The reason why the fight and flight response is such a wild recipe for disaster in the water is because it’s the exact opposite of how you want to react.

Here’s what happens to the body in these situations:

  • Your heart rate pumps into overdrive.
  • The body tenses up.
  • Blood is pumped to the vital muscles, ready for action.
  • Your blood pressure increases.
  • The pupils dilate, and you go into tunnel vision.

All of these actions combined burn through enormous amounts of Oxygen.

And what’s the one thing you need to survive underwater???

That’s right, Oxygen.

So by now you’re probably beginning to see just how dangerous the fight and flight response can be.

SO WHAT CAN YOU DO ABOUT IT?

The fact that you’re reading this right now is a massive start.

You’re taking action.

Even just a base layer of understanding will really help.

But that’s just the start of the process.

What you really need to do is learn how to overcome this autonomic response.

Do that and not only will you be far better equipped to handle anything the ocean throws at you and stay safe, but you’ll also have the courage to surf waves you previously thought impossible.

Would you have more fun if you could take off on more challenging waves anxiety free?

Could you improve faster if you could attack waves, fancy-free, rather than stifled and scared?

And what about the places you could travel, the new waves you could surf, the new experiences you could have?

All of this opportunity comes on the other side of fear.

All of these exciting new prospects can only come once you move past this hurdle 👇

INTRODUCING FEARLESS: A comprehensive digital course teaching everyday surfers how to overcome their fears in the surf, to free them to surf everyday waves in attack mode - rather than panic mode.

Pacify your ocean fears, empower yourself with the knowledge, skills  & techniques to stay calm in the surf, and get better faster.

The Fear Response Formula is a digital course comprised of 50+ lessons, spread over 3 key modules.

Customers served! 0 MODULES
Customers served! 0 CHAPTERS
Customers served! 0 + LESSONS

With each lesson building on the last, the course will guide you through a process of empowerment whereby you’ll eventually be the owner of a system you can use to stay calm in the ocean - underwater, and above.

First up we start with the understanding phase.

To know where you’re going you’ve got to know where you’ve come from right?

With this newfound understanding comes the separation process.

The separation between the self (you), and the fear response (the thing happening to you).

Create that separation first, and the pacification process can begin.

You’ll be given tools and techniques to be efficient with your energy, practical ways for maximising oxygen levels in the body, and little known methods to make you more prepared than ever.

From there, you’ll learn our signature ‘Pilots Routine’.

In the same way that a pilot remains calm and simply follows procedures in even the most stressful of situations, you too will have a routine to follow - a checklist if you like - that you can call upon when needed.

A LOGICAL PATHWAY

A logical pathway taking you out of your head, away from panic, back to a state of logic and calm.

But it’s not enough for us just to tell you how this is done, there must be practical application too.

For that reason you’ll also be getting in-water exercises you can take with you to practice.

Real life simulations to prepare the body in a controlled environment. Exercises you can do in a pool with a friend or in the ocean to put this stuff into action, practice it, and eventually perfect it.

This entire system, the Fear Response Formula will give you a crystal clear pathway to follow.

An easy to follow system you can take at your own pace, anytime.

HOW IT WORKS

The FEARLESS: Fear Response Formula digital course will take you through four stages:

STAGE 1: UNPACKING THE FEAR

To know where you’re going, you’ve got to know where you’re coming from, and that means getting to the root cause of the fear.

Understanding where it comes from, learning how it effects you in the water, and owning it.

Uncovering the root cause of the fear - and all the underlying psychological and physiological responses you have to it - leads to the next stage of pacifying the fear.

You’ll be guided through a number of techniques to let go any trauma & fear, and relinquish its control over you.

STAGE 2: PACIFYING THE FEAR

STAGE 3: TOOLS & TECHNIQUES

It's no use just taking control of the fear, you need the real life skills unique to surfing to really empower you in the ocean.

Knowledge equals power, right!

It’s true. If you know how to react in sketchy situations - what to do and how to do it - this alone will not only reduce your fear significantly, but will help you to conserve energy, and stay safe too.

Knowledge is one thing, but real life experience is a whole different kettle of fish.

Which is why we’ll be simulating wipeout scenarios, hold downs, and much more in a controlled environment to get you accustomed to the feelings, stresses, and emotions you’ll need to contend with in real life situations.

STAGE 4: THE REAL THING

I GET SCARED OF ROCKS AND FREAK OUT?

Think about it for a moment, is it the rocks that are dangerous, or is your experience and the way you react that’s the real danger?

You see, advanced surfers will surf on, near, close to, and over the top of rocks all the time.

Occasionally they might get a bump or scratch here or there, so there’s danger in that, granted.

But they’re not freaked out by it.

They’re not panicked at being close to them.

They see them as fun, something exciting, something challenging.

That’s the frame we want you to come from.

To understand that they’re there, part of the landscape, part of the environment that makes surfing fun.

Not something to be scared of.

Get comfortable in the ocean, and understand how to handle your fear responses, and allow this shift to happen.

I FREAK OUT AT THE THOUGHT OF STEEP DROPS?

This is understandable.

Looking over the ledge of a steep drop can be intimidating for sure.

But what would happen if you really attacked the wave, really paddled hard for it.

What would happen if you put your head down and fully committed?

Chances are the wave wouldn’t be that steep when it comes to popping up anyway.

Furthermore, in order to get better at these late pop up’s you’ve got to give yourself a full chance at making them.

You can’t do that when you’re in hesitation mode. You can’t do that when you’re stifled.

You can only do that once you’ve got rid of all that baggage, once you’re comfortable at the prospect of being wiped out and being held under.

Advanced surfers will throw themselves over the ledge of un-makeable waves just for fun, to make their friends laugh, or just because.

They’re playing with it, and that’s what we want for you too.

Remove the state of panic and fear, and then a playful energy comes in, dissolving the tension you normally feel.

I’M PETRIFIED OF GETTING STUCK IN A RIP

People get stuck in rips all the time, and things can escalate really quick.

But here’s the thing, is the danger in the rip itself - a body of water moving out to sea - or is the real danger in the way you respond?

You see advanced surfers will use rips all the time, oftentimes using them as travelators to get them out past the break quickly.

To the well informed they can be a welcome ally, to the ill informed they can be treacherous - even deadly.

Empowerment comes in understanding.

And with the right understanding you can be prepared.

With preparation you’ll no longer be panicked at the thought of getting stuck in a rip - but indifferent at the prospect, and you’ll have a simple action plan to follow to keep you out of harms way.
